“A December 2008 study by Manhattan Research reported a doubling of Health 2.0 consumers from 30 to 60 million people in the previous 12 months. These are people who share their healthcare experiences through social networking and social media tools such as blogs, widgets, online video and mobile applications. In the process they transform a one way conversation – doctor to patient – to one that cycles between patient, community and doctor.”
