IBM and Danish Hospital Pioneer Smarter Patient Records to Improve Patient Care

“An IBM technology innovation for intelligent electronic patient records using a 3D model of the human body, has proved to be practical and valuable in a first trial at a Danish Hospital. Using a map or avatar of the human body, medical staff at the Thy-Mors Hospital are now able obtain an overview of each patient’s record at a glance. The software called Medical Information Hub (MIH) was created by scientists at IBM’s Zurich Research Laboratory in collaboration with experts from IBM Denmark, and is a forward-thinking step towards user-friendly and smarter healthcare. IBM and Business Partner Nhumi Technologies will collaborate in the commercialization of the technology and plan to work together to further develop innovative healthcare solutions.”
