Microsoft: Dollars Won’t Cure Health Care

“We’re all wondering how the billions of dollars that the Obama administration and Congress have committed will affect our nation and each of us as citizens. No area has more potential than health care, which represents a large portion of the economy and touches each of us so personally.
I’m apprehensive about the stimulus funds allotted for health IT, namely, the massive investment in electronic medical records. The promise of pulling the outdated health system into the Internet age is truly exciting, but unfortunately there is a mismatch in the funding for health IT and the first steps needed to improve health outcomes.”
