Podcast: Lessons Learned – Why has Denmark been successful with their EMR Program?

“Ib Johansen, Deputy Director for MedCom, the Danish Centre for Health Telematics is my guest on this podcast. He describes the Denmark EMR strategy regarding the uptake, adoption and sustainment of the program. Denmark stands out as a world leader in the area of EMR adoption and use and has taken a very practical and pragmatic approach to their national program. GPs in Denmark are one of the few physician populations that report improvements in efficiency in their practices (they finish their work more quickly and can see more patients or get home a little earlier).”
