U.K.’s e-records program has six months to deliver

“The companies providing electronic medical records for the United Kingdom’s National Health Service have until November to launch their systems or they could be out of a job, according to a silicon.com report.
The Care Records Service’s EMR is a core function of NHS’ National Programme for Information Technology, an attempt to overhaul and modernize the country’s health care service by 2015. That deadline remains, said Christine Connelly, director general of informatics at the U.K. Department of Health.”
