“Meaningful use is a concept that has emerged as basis for determining whether federal funds can be used to subsidize the purchase of certified EMRs by hospitals. CCHIT has established a presence as the key certifying organization. I must confess that I have not been following CCHIT very closely but my instincts tell me to be very suspicious of any organization that is closely linked to HIMSS.
