Smoothing out the EHR kinks for providers

“A recent IBM study reveals that online medical records are gaining favor with Americans. Consumer convenience that electronic health records (EHRs) delivers will slowly trump concerns over potential privacy violations and other security issues.
Fifty-four percent of those surveyed are interested in viewing their medical records online, and 60 percent of Americans ages 18-29 want online access to their records, according to the study. Additionally, among Americans ages 50 and older, 43 percent want to access their medical records online.”
