Case study: OH pain practice creates ‘virtual clinic’

“A Midwestern pain clinic has launched an online version of its programs–a model it dubs a “virtual clinic”–complete with online videos and animations designed to help patients manage their pain in their own homes.
The Ohio Pain Clinic has already installed a $1 million pain treatment-specific EMR (funded, interestingly enough, by outside investors), which allows patients to access records from outside the clinic, make appointments, sign off on their paperwork electronically, get med refills and communicate with staff.”
