‘The Swedish National Patient Summary solution (known as NPÖ), one of the first of its kind in the world, has received formal acceptance and has been in full production since 1 September, 2009 in Örebro County Council and the Municipality of Örebro. The NPÖ solution is based on the national IT strategy for the healthcare and welfare sector in Sweden and it will improve diagnosis, treatment and follow-up, and ensure patients have greater access and control over their medical records and security controls.”
