GE sees healthy gains in low-cost medical devices

“Raja finds the idea “fascinating”. He’s talking about a cheap portable ECG device that could be set up at tele-radiology centres across the country and linked to a physician at a central location.
“Imagine what this can do to increase access to healthcare delivery in India [ Images ] and address the problem of shortage of qualified physicians,” the GE Healthcare president and CEO (South Asia) says. Wireless and Bluetooth technology can even help the ECG devices beam live data to a physician’s mobile phone instantly.”
