New Health Information System to Connect Patients’ Medical Records at Hospitals Across Long Island

“A new health information system that will enable patients’ medical records to be shared electronically with hospitals, nursing homes and doctor’s offices across Long Island was activated today and demonstrated at a news conference at NuHealth System-NUMC.
The new information system, called the Long Island Patient Information Exchange (LIPIX), is now accessible at NuHealth System-NUMC, hospitals across the North Shore-LIJ Health System, South Nassau Communities Hospital, Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, Cold Spring Hills Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation and Broadlawn Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.”
