Web service targets Facebook generation with virtual medical alert system

“People with diabetes, asthma and a host of other conditions have carried information about their condition in case of an emergency for decades. Now the American Ambulance Association, the largest network of emergency medical service providers in the US, hopes that the Facebook and Twitter generation will adopt a new virtual medical ID system that not only carries critical information, but which can also text-message loved ones that the person is being taken to a hospital.”
