Measuring Meaningful Use

“The healthcare industry is abuzz with questions about what it means to demonstrate “meaningful use” of electronic health record (EHR) technology to be eligible for federal stimulus incentives.
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) provides $17.2 billion as an incentive to Medicare and Medicaid providers to take necessary steps to ensure they are using certified healthcare IT (HIT) in a meaningful way by as early as Oct. 1, 2011.”
