Medical Technology Allows for Remote Monitoring

“Trials have begun in Kent, Cornwall and East London’s Newham borough for the use of remote medical monitors for individuals with chronic illnesses. Tested by the UK’s Philips brand, the pendant’s produced by Dutch company Telecare, allow for users to take oxygen levels or blood pressure at home and then send them over a broadband connection to their local Primary Care Trust (PCT).”
