The outpatient EMR promises workflow improvements and greater efficiencies plus improved patient safety and quality of care. Despite the potential, successful EMR implementation requires strong leadership and careful planning, clinical and technical cooperation, and physician buy-in.
With more than 25 ambulatory EMR implementations under its belt, Lehigh Valley Health Network has learned many lessons about what works and what doesn’t.”
