Physicians Reluctant to Implement EHRs

“I was listening to National Public Radio (NPR), and much to my surprise the topic was on the implementation of electronic health records (EHRs). The Obama administration has set aside $19.2 billion of stimulus funds for doctors and hospitals making the switch to EHRs. This NPR segment discussed the progress made so far with implementation of the EHR and why some doctors are reluctant to make the switch. Although I can already see small changes when I visit my physician office, it was interesting to hear the opinions of physicians.”
