Patient’s view of HealthSpace

As a healthcare librarian and someone with diabetes who has a HealthSpace basic account, I was very interested in Greenhalgh and colleagues’ study.

HealthSpace promises much but delivers little—there is insufficient context sensitive explanation of the advanced account, and the help section is inadequate and confusing. It’s like trying to retrieve a ball stuck up a tree without having a long enough stick to reach it. I specialise in online resources, so if I find HealthSpace frustrating, others will find it much more so.
