“Health Level Seven® International (HL7®), the global authority on standards for interoperability of health information technology with members in 55 countries, today is pleased to announce that the HL7 Board unanimously agreed to pledge to engage and empower individuals to be partners in their health through information technology. This is the HealthIT Pledge for non-Data Holders as promoted by the U.S. Office of the National Coordinator (ONC). HL7 further encourages its members to take either the Pledge for Data Holders or the Pledge for non-Data Holders as appropriate.”
