“The Senate and Assembly joint committees on health and insurance met in a roundtable session with leaders in the telehealth and telemedicine fields on Monday, Jan. 9, organized by the Commission on Rural Resources.
Telehealth uses current advancements in telecommunications and Internet-based services to foster real time communication between doctors and patients. Telemedicine, which is communication between health care providers, has also been emerging as a potential source of savings for the state.”
