“The percentage of physicians who have adopted electronic health records to meet the five meaningful use core goals has surged by 66 percent over the past three years. While the momentum in physicians’ use of electronic health records (EHRs) in recent years is generally known, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT has been tracking specific data related to meaningful use.
A significant part of the growth occurred in 2011, as physician adoption of electronic health records (EHRs) that could perform nine meaningful use objectives stepped up by 21 percent, according to an ONC report released Dec. 12.”
