Health 2.0 India

Something has changed. Something is different. And following the success of our events in the United States and in Europe, it makes sense that we engage the unmistakable influence India, China and other Asian countries have had in shaping how we think about innovation and how we solve healthcare challenges.

At Health 2.0 India we will witness Health 2.0 technologies intersecting with ancient culture; where modern medicine and technology collide with the Ayurvedic mindset; where mobile health (mHealth) connects the poor, reaches the unreachable and engages the influentials; where the buzz around healthcare is not just about medical tourism, but also used as soft diplomacy in the fight on terror as well as a tool to strengthen social development initiatives;  and where wellness strikes a yoga pose or leverages a Bollywood tune.

MIE2012

The theme of the conference is Quality of Life through Quality of Information.
We intend to focus on the role of e-health in pursuing benefits in terms of quality of life for patients, health-care personnel, citizens and the society.
The topic can be analyzed from many points of view, and MIE2012 will provide a unique platform for fruitful exchange of ideas and experiences among the actors and stakeholders of ICT supported healthcare. Both methodologies and examples of applications are the base for the discussion, and all of us will learn not only from success stories in the field, but also from failures. The opinion and experiences of both the designers/planners and the addresses/users of e-health systems are of great importance when the target is the global improvement of the quality of life, at personal and public level. For this reason we do encourage health professionals, policy makers, and also patient/citizen associations to take an active part in the conference and share their knowledge.

HIC 2012

The Health Informatics Society of Australia (HISA) is pleased to invite you to participate in HIC 2012, Australia’s Health Informatics Conference, to be held from 30 July – 2 August 2012 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.

With the primary theme of Health Informatics – Building a Healthcare Future through Trusted Information, HIC2012 will focus on consumers, practitioners, researchers and industry.

The momentum behind e-health and health informatics is soaring and there is much international attention being focused on the Australian e-health community – our research, developments and implementations. The foundations for an e-health led transformation of healthcare are already with us. The Federal Government’s investment in personally controlled electronic health records, lead implementation sites, telehealth delivery and the building of a National Broadband Network attests to this momentum. Indeed, the PCEHR will be launched 30 days before the conference and will no-doubt be a topic heavily discussed during HIC.
