Use of iPad in health care rising, but will it plateau?

Brian Eastwood, Health IT Pulse

“Use of the Apple Inc. iPad in health care has risen dramatically since the device was released nearly two years ago. The warm embrace that the industry gave the device, by now, surprises few — health care had been waiting for an easy-to-use tablet, IT departments were already familiar with the iOS operating system and physicians fit nicely into the target market for iPad users (meaning, they can afford it).

Smartphones and tablets — the sequel

Peter Rinck, AuntMinnieEurope

“A couple of weeks ago I wrote a column about LBMs (little black machines). The article had so many clicks that I wondered what attracted such a wide audience to read it. There was no outcry; people seem to know and accept that the ever-sprawling use of mobile phones in front of others can be ill-mannered and antisocial.
